Abstract
This aim of this study was to examine the effect of press monitoring and job satisfaction among some dental hygienists. The study was carried out among 300 dental hygienists in Korea, from May 1 to 30, 2018. Study subjects were selected using the non£probability sampling method. The survey was composed of 8 questions regarding the socio£demographic characteristics of the study subjects, 26 questions regarding job satisfaction, and 32 questions regarding press monitoring. SPSS 20.0 was used. Descriptive statistics analysis, t£test, and correlation analysis were conducted and the significancy level set at 0.05. A positive correlation between press monitoring and job satisfaction was found in some dental hygienists. In multivariate analysis, sharing information in the dental workplace was significantly associated with job satisfaction (b=0.201, p£¼0.001). Information benefit in the dental workplace was also significantly associated with job satisfaction (b=0.072 p=0.035). Therefore, this study showed that press monitoring and job satisfaction have a positive effect on some dental hygienists. This study can be used as basic data to improve press monitoring and job satisfaction in the workplace.
